TherMod Decking Description:
In addition to the planters and benches, the TherMod brand now also covers the decking product. Like all TherMod products, the decking is made from Thermally modified pine processed for 60 hours' cycle in the kiln. During this high temperature process all wood nutriens are eliminated. The result is a rot, mold and insect resistant wood fibre with 25+ years life span, WITHOUT USING ANY CHEMICALS. After the process, the pieces are treated with organic Flex oil which will prolong surface protection against fading when exposed to direct sunlight. This product is reversible, with one grooved face and one plain face. The pieces are 72" (6 ft.) long and tongue and groove (T&G) end matched. They can be nailed to the joists from the ends or from the edges.
