Goodbye Getaway, hello Getaway 2! The original Getaway was a popular model yet many of you asked for a larger version made with thicker walls. The new Allwood Getaway 2 is 55 Sqf bigger, has 2 3/4" thick walls and a steeper roof angle enabling more headroom (56") inside the loft (measured under the Ridge purlin). There is also an option to make that higher by adding layers of wall boards for an additional charge.
Just like its predecessor, the Allwood Getaway 2 is a high quality multi purpose solid wood cabin made of solid Nordic spruce. With 337 Sqf combined ground floor area plus a sleeping Loft (which is not included in the 337 Sqf due to limited height), Getaway 2 is large enough to function as a summer house, granny flat, home office or even a stand-alone retail building. By adding utility hookups, this cabin can be converted to a primary residence. DIY directions come with the kit in the form of numbered drawings and corresponding parts list, and a general manual. Please note that assembly of this kit requires more trimming of boards and more skill than our other kits. Some level of experience is required. There is an additional delivery fee for delivery which cannot be added in the shopping cart. This must be paid separately by phone and depends on your address.
